Edwin "Bud" Rawling enlisted in the Marine Corp. during his senior year of high school. Upon entering the military and completing his basic training, Bud was shipped overseas to fight in the Vietnam War. His time in Vietnam ended when, while in action, he stepped on a landmine which then exploded. Bud awoke from the blast in the intensive care unit of a military hospital only to find that both legs had been amputated due to the severity of his injuries. For this, Mr. Rawling was awarded the Purple Heart. Thank you Mr. Rawling for your service to and sacrifice for our country.
