Ed is a combat medic that serves with the 948th Forward Surgical Team.  In 2015, his unit was deployed to Iraq where he spent nearly a year in a trauma unit caring for over 250 military patients.  Ed has four young daughters and a lovely wife who we had the privilege of getting to know through our selection process.  When at home, Ed volunteers on his community's local fire department.  Thank you Mr. Beard for your service to our country.
